Women's Tennis to open fall schedule Sept. 11 with doubleheader at St. Francis (Ind.)

Ada — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will open the fall portion of iuts 2011-12 schedule Sept. 11 with a doubleheader at St. Francis (Ind.)

The Polar Bears, under 11th-year head coach Scott Wills, will face St. Francis at 11 am and will play five-time Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference champion Manchester (Ind.) at 2 pm.

Northern will also play doubleheaders at regionally-ranked Wittenberg (with Sinclair C.C.) and at Defiance (with Lake Erie).

Also included in the schedule is the high-profile Oberlin Invitational and the ITA Regional Tournament at Kalamazoo, Mich.

The Polar Bears return 10 lettermen from last year's squad that finished 21-5 and won the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title.
