Kelsi Wurm leads Women's Tennis past Ave Maria (Fla.)

BABSON PARK, Fla. — Freshman Kelsi Wurm won at No. 1 singles to help the Ohio Northern women's tennis team to a 6-1 victory over Ave Maria (Fla.) Sunday in the first day of ONU's annual spring break trip.
The Polar Bears (5-2) also dropped an 8-1 decsion at Webber International (Fla.) on Sunday.
Ave Maria falls to 0-3, while Webber International improves to 5-2.
Wurm won 6-7 (4-7) 6-1, 10-8 at No. 1 singles, freshman Samantha Stulen won 6-2, 6-2 t No. 2 singles and sophomore Jenny Provost won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles as the Polar Bears expanded their 3-0 lead after doubles play.
Against Webber International, freshman Emily Mueller won 3-6, 6-1, 10-4 at No. 3 singles to score Northern's point.
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday at NCAA Division II foe Tampa (Fla.) at 3 pm.
