Yoder, Leatherman win events as Women's Swimming and Diving wraps up regular season with loss at Wooster

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season with a 199.5-95.5 loss at Wooster on Saturday.

Meet Highlights
- Freshman Gillian Yoder (Waterville/Anthony Wayne) swept the diving events, winning the 1-meter with 183.15 points and the 3-meter with 184.60 points.
- Freshman Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) won the 50 free :26.35, was second in the 200 breast in 2:36.58 and was second in the 200 free in 2:06.55.
- Senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) was second in the 100 breast in 1:13.32 and was second in the 100 free in :58.23.
- Senior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East) was second in the 50 free in :26.87.
- Senior Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mt. Notre Dame) was second in the 200 back in 2:22.25.
- Freshman Teagan Stermer (Bradenton, Fla./Christian) was second in the 100 back in 1:04.67.
- Freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) was second in the 500 free in 5:47.06.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two diving events and two relays.
- ONU won 3 of the 16 events on the evening.
- Austin Veltman is 30-31 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
