Brown, Leatherman each three events to lead Women's Swimming and Diving to tri-meet sweep of Bluffton and Ohio Wesleyan

ADA — Senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) and freshman Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) won three events to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team to a tri-meet sweep of Bluffton and Ohio Wesleyan on Friday night.

Meet Highlights
- Brown won the 50 free in :26.41 and Leatherman won the 100 free in :57.60.
- Both ladies were part of ONU's winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.
- They joined with freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) and senior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:57.38.
- The 200 free relay team of Leatherman, freshman Teagan Stermer (Bradenton, Fla./Christian), Brown and Richters won in 1:44.85.
- Stermer also won the 50 back in :29.78.
- Kalmanowicz won the 100-yard fly in 1:03.23.
- Freshman Gillian Yoder (Waterville/Anthony Wayne) won two separate the 1-meter diving events, scoring 125.55 points in the 5 voluntary dive event and with 185.05 in th 6 optional dive event.
- Senior Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mt. Notre Dame) 400 I.M. in 5:02.71.
- Freshman Liv Elliott (Marysville/Stem Early College) won the 1000 free in 12:51.67.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two 1-meter diving events and two relays.
- ONU won 10 of the 15 events on the evening.
- Austin Veltman is 30-30 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
