Kate Kalmanowicz wins twice, leads Women's Swimming and Diving in OAC dual at Mount Union

ALLIANCE — Freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) won two events to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team in a 157-131 Ohio Athletic Conference loss at Mount Union on Saturday.

Meet Highlights
- Kalmanowicz won the 200 free in 2:06.55 and the 200 I.M. in 2:22.84 and was second in the 500 free in 5:40.04.
- Freshman Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) won the 200 breast in 2:40.29 and was second in the 100 breast in 1:12.45.
- Senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) won the 200 fly in 2:23.40 and was second in the 100 fly in 1:03.36.
- Freshman Gillian Yoder (Waterville/Anthony Wayne) won two separate the 1-meter diving events with 122.60 and 173.15 points, respectively.
- Senior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East) won the 100 free in :58.39 and was second in the 50 free in :26.73.
- Freshman Teagan Stermer (Bradenton, Fla./Christian) won the 200 back in 2:21.48 and was second in the 100 back in 1:06.09.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 16 events, including 12 individual races, two diving events and two relays.
- Austin Veltman is 28-30 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
