Junior Mara Brown named OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 8-14.
This marks the second time this season and the fourth time in her career that Brown has won the award, as she earned the honor twice as a freshman.
Brown won four events in a dual meet with Mount Union on Saturday and had three second place finishes in a tri-meet split with Wooster and Bluffton on Friday.
Against MtU, Brown captured the 100-yard breast in 1:12.18, the 100 fly in 1:02.33 and the 200 I.M. in 2:22.03 and helped ONU win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:54.89.
On Friday, she was second in the the 200 fly in 2:23.60 and the 200 breast in 2:44.95 and helped Northern finish second in the 400 medley relay in 4:16.45.
The Polar Bears return to action on Friday when they host a tri-meet against Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton.
