Brown, Lubinski win four events each as Women's Swimming and Diving defeats Mount Union 175-119 on Senior Day

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team won 11 of 16 events to post a 175-119 win over Mount Union on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
The Polar Bears (3-2 overall) improves to 3-0 in Ohio Athletic Conference regular season dual meets this season.
Northern is guaranteed to finish on topof the league standings for the 10th time in school history and its first time first since 2016.
The Purple Raiders drop to 2-5, 1-2.
Senior Megan Lubinski (Loveland/Brighton) and freshman Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) won three events each for Ohio Northern
Lubinski won the 200 free in 2:00.41, the 50 free in :24.92 and the 100 free in :53.93.
Brown won both of the butterfly events and claimed the 400 I.M. She took the 200 fly in 2:18.83, the 100 fly in 1:01.61 and the 400 I.M. in 5:01.57.
Junior Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine) swept the backstroke events, taking the 100 back in 1:02.26 and the 200 back in 2:15.14.
Freshman Aubrey Pritchard (Delaware/Olentangy Berlin) won the 200 breast in 2:39.47.
Freshman Hayley Solomon (Cincinnati/Sycamore) won the 3-meter diving with 146.50 points.
Ohio Northern began the meet by winning the 200 medley relay as Starkey, Brown, senior Lauren Shaw (Port Clinton) and Lubinski touched in 1:53.52.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday with a home tri-meet against Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton.
