Friday's Meet: Ohio Northern will compete twice this weekend, weather permitting ... The Polar Bears will host Baldwin Wallace in the annual battle for the Golden Kickboard on Friday night at 7 pm at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium ... ONU was to travel to Oberlin on Saturday at 11 am at Carr Pool, but this meet was canceled due to the anticipated Winter Storm Harvey ... This will mark the penultimate weekend of the regular season for the ONU swimmers and divers, as they will wrap up their regular season on Jan. 26 when they host #16-ranked Case Western Reserve and NCAA Division II foe Hillsdale (Mich.) on Senior Day ... The Golden Kickboard trophy is awarded annually to the ONU-BW regular season meet winner ... Ohio Northern is now 12-2 all-time and has won 12 consecutive meets in the Golden Kickboard series ... The OAC Championships are slated for Feb. 14-16 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium ... The Polar Bears are coming off a tight 149-142 victory at Mount Union last Saturday ... Freshman Megan Lubinski won the 200 free in 2:03.54, the 100 free in :56.67, the 50 free in :25.72, and combined with senior Kierra Watson and juniors Katey Stuart and Kyley Stuart to win the 200 medley relay in 1:54.84 ... Lubinski was named the OAC Swimmer of the Week for her efforts ... Northern won 10 of the 16 events and clung to a 129-126 lead with just two events to go ... BW lost 121-99 at NCAA Division II foe Malone last Friday in their first competition since the Christmas break.
