Women's Swimming & Diving split tri-meet at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team split a tri-meet at Colorado College with Wayland Baptist (Tex.) Saturday night at the Schlessman Natatorium.

The Polar Bears (3-3) defeated No. 6-ranked (NAIA) Wayland Baptist 157-109 and fell to host Colorado College 186-100 as part of ONU's winter training trip.

Sophomore Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) won the 50 back and was second in the 100 back to lead Ohio Northern.

She won the 50 back in :30.00 and finished in 1:04.38 in the 100 back.

Junior Sydney Veon (Riverside, Ill./Brookfield) won the 100 breast in 1:10.35.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Mount Union.
