Women's Swimming & Diving Team defeats Manchester (Ind.) 241-49 on Senior Day

The Polar Bears improve to 5-6 on the year, while the Spartans fall to 0-5 overall.
Senior Allison Lohnes led ONU on Senior Day, placing first in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of :28.96. She also won the 100 IM in 1:05.27.
Freshman Kierra Watson won two individual events as well. She took the 100 butterfly in 1:06.40 and the 100 back in 1:04.82.
Junior Jill Chapman won the 50 free in :24.64 and the 100 breast in 1:10.65.
Freshman Alyson Rohrer won the 100 free in :58.16. She also placed first in the 50 fly with a time of :28.74
ONU had five other individuals take first place on the day. Sophomore Sydney Veon won 50 breast in :32.36. Freshman Lauren Chaney won the 500 free in 5:33.11. Sophomore Kasey Mucher won the 800 free in 9:20.92. Junior Stacie Melody won the 200 free in 2:11.37. Freshman Emily Jones scored 132.20 points to win the 3 meter diving event.
Manchester's top finisher was Ally Roskos, who won the 1 meter dive with a score of 219.20.
The 200 medley relay team of Watson, Junior Molly Wheeler, Lohnes, and Rohrer won in 1:57.55. The team of Chapman, Junior Emily Uhrin, Veon, and Chaney ended the meet with a win in the 200 free relay in 1:57.25.
Northern will compete at the OAC Championships at Akron University starting on Thursday, February 18.
