Chapman, Lohnes each win events to lead #48 Women's Swimming & Diving in dual meet at #2 Kenyon

GAMBIER — Senior Allison Lohnes and junior Jill Chapman each won events to lead the No. 48-ranked Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team in a dual meet at No. 2 Kenyon on Friday night at the Steen Aquatic Center.
The Polar Bears (2-2 overall) fell to the Ladies (1-2 overall) by a 145-90 count in the meet.
Lohnes and freshman Kierra Watson finished 1-2 in the 100 back as Lohnes won in 1:01.49 and Watson was second in 1:03.72.
Chapman had a first and second place finish for ONU.
She won the 50 free in :24.43 and was second in the 100 free in :54.29.
Four other Ohio Northern swimmers had second place finishes in the meet.
Sophomore Hailee Sautter was second in the 1000 free in 11:48.97, sophomore Sydney Veon was second in the 100 breast in 1:10.41, freshman Lauren Chaney was second in the 200 free in 2:03.25 and freshman Alyson Rohrer was second in the 100 fly in 1:06.27.
The Polar Bears will return to action Dec. 3-5 at the Wooster Invitational.
