SHENANDOAH, Tex. — Junior Lindsey Inkrott and sophomore Jill Chapman competed in the 100 fly event  on Day 3 of the NCAA III Swimming & Diving Championships Friday morning at the Conroe Natatorium.

Inkrott finished 24th of 33 swimmers in :57.93 in the prelims, while Chapman finished 33rd in 1:01.64.

Inkrott was seeded 16th entering the event with a qualifying time of :56.55 and Chapman was seeded 32nd with a season-best time of :59.80.

The top eight finishers in the prelims of each event earn All-America honors and advance to the Finals in the evening session each day, while finishers 9-16 advance to the Consolation Finals and earn Honorable Mention All-America honors.

On Wednesday, the two ladies swam in the 50 free, with Chapman finishing 35th out of 46 swimmers in :23.99, while Inkrott was 46th in :25.24.

On Saturday, Chapman will swim the 100 free and Inkrott will swim the 200 back in their final events of the championships.
