Women's Swimming & Diving wins 200 Medley Relay on Day 2 of Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team won the 200 medley relay on the second day of the 3-day Wooster Invitational on Friday at the Wooster High School Natatorium.
Junior Lindsey Inkrott, freshman Sydney Veon, junior Allison Lohnes and sophomore Jill Chapman won the 200-yard medley relay in a school record 1:46.71 to lead ONU. That time just missed the NCAA "B" Cut time of 1:46.60.
The Polar Bears are in seventh place out of 10 teams after 12 of the 20 events with 616.5 points.
NCAA Division II Gannon (Pa.) leads with 977.5 points, Wooster is second with 765.5 and Case Western Reserve is third with 717 points.
Inkrott led a strong ONU finish in the 100 back with a third place finish in :58.43.
Lohnes followed in fourth place in :58.57 and Chapman was sixth in :59.80.
In the 200 free, sophomore Emily Uhrin touched fifth in 1:56.89.
Freshman Kasey Mucher finished seventh in the 400 I.M. in 4:51.88.
Sophomore Jennifer Collopy placed ninth in the 1-meter diving with 228.85 points.
The 800 free relay team of Mucher, freshman Hailee Sautter, Uhrin and senior Ashley Zoeller finished eighth in 8:08.05.
The Polar Bears will compete in the third and final day of the Wooster Invitational on Saturday.
