Rayhill, Inkrott lead Women's Swimming & Diving to sixth place finish at Wooster Invitational

ADA — Junior Lindsey Rayhill and freshman Lindsey Inkrott led the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team to a sixth place finish at the 2012 Wooster Invitational Thursday-Saturday.
The Polar Bears were sixth of 10 teams with 851 points in the 20 events.
NCAA Division II Gannon (Pa.) won the team title with 1536 points, NCAA Division II Edinboro (Pa.) was second with 1429.5 points and Wooster was third with 1262 points.
Rayhill set the school record and bettered the NCAA "B" cut in the 100 fly, finishing third in the event in :57.66.
Inkrott broke her own school record she set on Thursday in the 100 back, finishing second in an NCAA "B" cut time of :57.76.
Rayhill also finished third in the 200 fly in 2:07.03 and was fifth in the 200 I.M. in 2:13.22.
Inkrott was fourth in the 200 back in 2:07.42.
Senior Amy Elmer won the only two events of the three-day meet for ONU, sweeping the 1- and 3-meter diving competitions. She won the 1-meter diving with 371.95 points and the 3-meter diving with 399.65 points.
Junior Jennifer Hartsel placed fourth in the 100 breast in 1:08.61 and was fifth in the 200 breast in 2:31.59.
Ohio Northern also posted top-8 finishes in four of the five relays.
Inkrott, Hartsel, Rayhill and senior Mackenzie Hoffman finished third in the 200 medley relay in 1:49.50 and were third in the 400 medley relay in 4:01.74.
Hoffman, sophomore Caroline Knauss, Hartsel and Rayhill were seventh in the 200 free relay in 1:41.43 and Inkrott, sophomore Ashley Zoeller, junior Rachael Aufdenkampe and Hoffman were eighth in the 400 free relay in 3:41.88.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday when they will host Defiance and Findlay in a tri-meet at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
