Amy Elmer sweeps diving events to lead Women's Swimming past Oberlin 147-92

OBERLIN — Junior Amy Elmer swept the 1-and 3-meter diving events to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team to a 147-92 non-conference victory at Oberlin Friday night.
The Polar Bears improve to 7-2 on the season, while the Yeowomen fall to 4-4.
Northern won nine of the 13 events on the night.
Elmer won the 1-meter diving with a score of 197.93 and won the 3-meter diving with a score of 220.13.
Five other Polar Bears each won one individual event on the night.
Seniors Michelle Eggers and Alison Garbash came through with victories, as Eggers win the 500 free in 5:29.80 and Garbash won the 50 free in :25.66.
Sophomore Jamie Garbash won te 100 back in 1:04.66, sophomore Rachael Aufdenkampe won the 100 free in :57.21 and freshman Taylor McCabe won the 200 I.M. in 2:15.91.
the 200 medley relay team of Jamie Garbash, sophomores Kasey Manko and Cait Munro and junior Mackenzoe Hoffman won in 1:55.04.
Hoffman, freshmen Ashley Zoeller and Danielle Wildman and Alison Garbash won the 200 free relay in 1:45.40.
The Polar Bears will retun home on Saturday to face Mount Union at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center. With a victory, Ohio Northern would clinch at least a share of its seventh consecuive Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season championship.
