Michelle Eggers named to Academic All-District IV At-Large team

ADA — Ohio Northern junior swimmer Michelle Eggers (Leawood, Kan./Olathe) was named to the Capital One Academic All-District IV At-Large team for 2010-11 in voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Eggers, a pharmacy major, was a Second Team Academic All-District honoree.

This season, she notched four top-8 finishes at this year's OAC Swimming & Diving championships, including OAC titles in the 1,650 free and 800 free relay.

For her career, she is a 10-time OAC champion and has been named All-OAC 13 times.

She is the three-time defending OAC Champion in the 1650 free.

Eggers was named the OAC Swimmer of the year in her freshman year and holds several OAC and ONU records.

She was also named Academic All-Conference in 2010-11.

The Polar Bears won their third consecutive OAC Championships title and their first straight OAC Regular Season crown in 2010-11 under seventh-year head coach Peggy Ewald.
