Poll Roundup: Wrestling ranked No. 20/22 in Dual polls, No. 14/21 in Tournament polls; Reed consensus No. 1 at 141

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team is ranked No. 14 in the second National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Tournament Poll and is No. 22 in its second NWCA Dual Meet poll for the 2024-25 season.
The Polar Bears are also ranked No. 20 (Dual) and No. 22 (Tournament) in the Dec. 25 The Open Mat poll.
Individually, senior three-time All-American Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) is ranked first nationally at 141 pounds in both polls and the D3Wrestle.com individual poll.
Five Ohio Northern wrestlers are mentioned in at least one of the three polls.
Senior Gavin Layman (Chesterton, Ind.) is 11th at 197 by the NWCA, is No. 14 by The Open Mat and is listed as a contender (ranked 11-18) by D3Wrestle.
Senior Teagan Hendricks (Jamestown/Greenview) received honorable mention (ranked 19-26) at 165 pounds by D3Wrestle.
Senior Jayden Jones (Ashland) is No. 15 by NWCA and No. 20 by The Open Mat at 157.
Freshman Myles Johnson (Springboro) is ranked No. 10 by the NWCA, is No. 20 by The Open Mat and received honorable mention (ranked 19-26) at 285 pounds by D3Wrestle.
The Polar Bears (8-4 overall) will return to action Jan. 2 with a dual at Mount Saint Joseph.
