Notables
- The Polar Bears finished in a 19-19 tie against West Liberty, and Ohio Northern headed home Sunday night believing they lost 20-19 by tiebreaker D.
- Upon further review on Monday morning, it was believed that the computer scoring program did not calculate the fourth tiebreaker properly.
- The computer had WLU with 50 nearfall points to 49 for ONU, but the actual score was ONU 9-0 - giving the Polar Bears the tiebreaker and the 20-19 victory.
- By Monday night some clairification had come and tiebreaker C was actually the total points scored by each individual wrestler in each of the 10 bouts, and it was 50-49 WLU, giving the victory back to the Hilltoppers.
- The teams tied in bout wins (5-5) and pins (1-1) to get to the third tiebreaker.
- Coker (S.C.) was also scheduled to compete at the duals but were not able to make the trip.
- Hendricks is 5 wins away from 100 career wins and has a 95-40 career record.
- Freshman Chase Vanderhorst and Myles Johnson each lead the team in tech falls with 6 each.
- Senior Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) is 18-0 on the season.
- Reed is a three-time All-American at 141 pounds.
- Reed is 6th all-time in ONU wrestling history in career wins with a 134-7 record.
- Ohio Northern head coach Ron Beaschler is in his 37th season and has a 398-252-4 dual meet record, a winning percentage of .637.
