Six claim weight class titles as No. 13 Wrestling wins 43rd Annual ONU Invitational

ADA — Six individuals grabbed weight class titles to lead the No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team to a team victory at the 43rd Annual ONU Invitational on Saturday.
The Basics
- Records: #13 Ohio Northern (7-3 Overall, 2-0 OAC).
- ONU finished 1st of 12 teams with 231 points.
- Venue: ONU Sports Center - Ada, Ohio.

- Senior #7 Teagan Hendricks (Jamestown/Greeneview) went 4-0 and placed 1st at 165.
- Junior Ajay Locke (Lancaster) placed 1st with a 4-0 record at 184.
- Senior #8 Gavin Layman (Chesterton, Ind.) went 4-0 and placed 1st at 197.
- Freshman Myles Johnson (Springboro) placed 1st with a 5-0 record at 285.
- Senior Colin Mellott (Wapakoneta) went 3-1 and placed 2nd at 125.
- Freshman Chase Vanderhorst (Covington) went 3-1 and placed 2nd at 133.
- Freshman Casper Caizzo (Norwall/St. Paul) went 4-1 and placed 2nd at 149.
- Senior Brandon Lee (La Plata, Md.) went 4-2 and placed 4th at 149.
- Senior Adam Myers (Springfield/STEM Academy) placed 4th with a 4-1 record at 174.
- Freshman Ryan Foster (Ross) placed 5th and went 5-1 at 149.
- Freshman Brock Blankenhornn (Mount Vernon) went 3-2 and placed 7th at 125.
- Junior Gabe Hansen (Richwood/North Union) went 3-2 and placed 7th at 141.
- Freshman Ethan Bartlett (Newbury/West Geauga) went 4-1 and placed 7th at 157.
- Freshman Max Kaye (Dayton/Piqua) went 3-2 and placed 8th at 157.
