OLIVET, Mich. — The No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team posted a 2-2 record at the Olivet (Mich.) Duals on Saturday.

  • Senior All-American and No. 2-ranked Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) went 4-0 at 141 lbs with two pins and two major decisions.
  • Senior Colin Mellott (Wapakoneta) went 1-3 at 125.  
  • Freshman Chase Vanderhorst (Covington) went 2-2 at 133. 
  • Senior Cael Vanderhorst (Covington) went 2-2 at 149.
  • Freshman Ethan Bartlett (Newbury/West Geauga) went 1-3 at 157.
  • Senior #7 Teagan Hendricks (Jamestown/Greeneview) went 3-1 at 165.
  • Senior Nick Campbell (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) went 1-2 and sophomore Flint Guerra (Lebanon) went 1-0 at 174. 
  • Junior Ajay Locke (Lancaster) went 1-3 at 184.
  • No. 8-ranked senior Gavin Layman (Chesterton, Ind.) went 2-2 at 197.
  • Freshman Myles Johnson (Springboro) went 4-0 at 285.

  • Layman is now part of the 100-win club after going 2-2 today.
  • Freshman Chase Vanderhorst is 9-4 and leads the team with 8 tech falls.
  • Reed, Guerra, and Johnson all went undefeated.
  • Reed is 13-0 on the season.
  • Reed is a three-time All-American at 141 pounds.
  • Reed is 6th all-time in ONU wrestling history in career wins with a 129-7 record.
