Junior All-American and No. 1-ranked Jacob Reed named OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA — Junior All-American and No.1-ranked Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 22-28.

This recognition comes after he won the 141-pound weight class at the Wheaton (Ill.) Pete Willson Invitational last week. He was 5-0 on the week with two pins and a tech fall.

Reed is now 21-0 on the season and is 108-6 overall in his career.

This is the second time this year and fifth time in his career that he has won the award.

ONU has now had three wrestlers win OAC Wrestler of the Week four different times this season.

The Polar Bears (16-7 overall, 5-1 OAC) return to action Saturday at the Baldwin Wallace John Summa Invitational at 10am.
