Top-ranked junior Jacob Reed picks up career win 100, leads No. 22 Wrestling to 52-3 OAC victory over Muskingum
ADA — Junior All-American and No. 1-ranked Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) picked up his his 100th career victory with a first period pin to lead the No. 22-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team in a 52-3 victory over Muskingum in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet at the ONU Sports Center.

ONU Individuals
- Junior Colin Mellott (Wapakoneta) opened the meet with a 13-2 major decision at 125 to give ONU a 4-0 lead. Mellott is now 22-10 overall and is 2-1 in OAC duals action this season.
- A MU forfeit at 133 made it 10-0.
- Reed then notched his first period pin in 1:13 at 141 and it was 16-0 Polar Bears.
- Reed improves to 13-0 on the season and is 3-0 in OAC action.
- In his career, Reed is now 100-6 with 38 pins in three seasons as a Polar Bear and has placed third at 141 in each of the past two NCAA III Championships.
- Junior Jayden Jones (Ashland) won by fall in 2:06 of the first period at 157 and Northern led 28-0.
- The Muskies forfeited the next four weight classes as the lead grew to 52-0.
- The Muskies' Noah DeHainaut won a tight 1-0 decision over senior Jadon Brownlee (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) at Heavyweight to wrap up the match.
- Muskingum only had healthy wrestlers at four of the 10 weight classes.
