No. 18 Wrestling has 13 placers, finishes second at 42nd Annual ONU Invitational

ADA — Thirteen wrestlers placed in their respective weight classes to lead No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern to a second place finish at the 42nd Annual ONU Invitational on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.

The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished second of 14 teams with 166.5 points.
- ONU Record: 4-1 Overall, 1-1 OAC

Results
- The Polar Bears finished with 13 placers to record their 166.5 points.
- Division II Tiffin won the team title with 219 points. Dubuque (Iowa) was third with 113.5 points and Heidelberg was fourth with 105 points.
- The top 8 placers in each weight class were honored.
- The meet was delayed 1 hour and 28 minutes when the TrackWrestling scoring software site crashed.
ONU Individuals
- Junior Adam Myers (Springfield/STEM Academy) placed second at 174 pounds to lead the Polar Bears.
- Four more ONU wrestlers placed third at their respective weight classes.
- Junior Colin Mellott (Wapakoneta) placed third at 125 pounds, junior Dylan Le (Dublin/Scioto) placed third at 133 pounds, junior Teagan Hendricks (Jamestown/Greenview) placed third at 165 pounds and junior Gavin Layman (Chesterton, Ind.) placed third at 184.
- Sophomore Colton Spurgeon (Mount Vernon) and freshman Cole Williams (Cumming, Ga./South Forsyth) placed fourth at 149 and 197, respectively.
- Senior Jadon Brownlee (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) was fifth at 285 pounds and freshman Flint Guerra (Lebanon) was fifth at 157.
- Sophomore Ajay Locke (Lancaster) placed seventh at 197.
- Junior John Radey (Matthews, N.C./Butler), sophomore Gabe Hansen (Richwood/North Union) and freshman Kael Margraf (McCutchenville/Mohawk) placed eighth at 141, 174 and 165, respectively.
