Wrestling ranked No. 13/No. 19 by NWCA; Reed and Sumner still ranked in top 10 individually

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team is ranked No. 13 nationally in the National Wrestling Coaches Association's first dual team poll for 2022-23.
The Polar Bears (10-0 overall, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) also moved up one spot to No. 19 in the second NWCA Tournament Poll.
In the tournament poll, ONU gained 14 points after being ranked No. 20 in the first poll on Nov. 16.
Wartburg (Iowa) is ranked No. 1 and Augsburg (Minn.) is second in both polls.
Ohio Northern was ranked No. 15 in the preseason poll.
Individually, sophomore All-American Jacob Reed (Lancaster) remains ranked No. 2 at 141 pounds and senior Chase Sumner (Ada) moved up one spot to No. 9 at 149 pounds.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Dec. 22 at the Wilkes (Pa.) Open tournament.
