Four ONU wrestlers finished with 4-0 records, led by No. 10-ranked senior Chase Sumner, who was 4-0 with three pins and a tech fall ... Three Ohio Northern wrestlers are currently ranked ... Sophomore All-American Jacob Reed (141 pounds) is #2 and Sumner (149 pounds) is #10 by the NWCA and senior Jordan Hardrick (165) is #12 by D3wrestle.com... Sophomore Dylan Le (133) is listed in the "Honorable Mention" category as being ranked in the 19-26 group ... Reed leads the team with an 8-0 record and 5 pins ... Le and freshman Jackson Hawker are both 7-2 with five other wrestlers having six wins each ... The Quakers opened their 2022-23 season on Saturday at the Trine (Ind.) Invitational ... Junior Caleb Tackett led WC with a 4th place finish at 197 pounds, going 3-2 with three falls on the day ... Sophomore Garrett Simmons was 1-2 at 165 pounds as well ... WC is expected to field wrestlers in just four weight classes and will then forfeit the other six bouts.

Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 35th season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 358-247-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .591, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
