Jacob Reed named Freshman of the Year by D3wrestle.com

ADA — Freshman Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) has been named the 2022 d3wrestle.com Freshman of the Year.
Reed (43-5) placed third in the 141-pound weight class at the 2002 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships and was the highest finishing freshman in the tournament.
He is ONU's 19th All-American and his third place finish is the best in school history by a freshman, surpassing the fourth place finish by two-time national champion Kyle Kwiat in 2010.
The Polar Bears went 13-5 overall and were third in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 4-2 record under 32nd-year head coach Ron Beaschler.
