ADA — The No. 22-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team had four wrestlers place in their respective weight classes at the Wheaton (Ill.) Pete Willson Invitational Friday and Saturday at King Arena.

The Polar Bears (12-5 overall) finished 16th of 29 teams with 47 points.

Senior Jordan Hardrick (Dayton/Wayne) and No. 8-ranked senior Chase Sumner (Ada) each posted sixth place finishes to lead ONU.

Hardrick placed sixth at 165 and Sumner was sixth at 149 pounds.

Freshman Gavin Layman (Chesterton, Ind.) was seventh at 184 and No. 12-ranked freshman Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) was eighth at 141 pounds.

The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational.
