Wrestling ranked No. 22 nationally in fourth NWCA Coaches Dual Match poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team is ranked No. 22 nationally in this week's National Wrestling Coaches Association Dual Match Poll, which was released on Friday.
The Polar Bears received 760 points in the poll.
ONU is down six spots after being ranked No. 28 the last week.
The Polar Bears (11-3 overall, 2-0 OAC) are riding an 11-dual match win streak, including a 4-0 record when they won the Lycoming (pa.) National Duals tournament.
Northern is not ranked in the NWCA Tournament Poll, which is a measure of strength at the NCAA III Championships.
Individually, freshman Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) is ranked No. 12 nationally at 141 pounds and senior Chase Sumner (Ada) is ranked No. 14 nationally at 149 pounds.
There are six wrestlers ranked in the Central Region, led by Reed at No. 2 at 141 pounds.
Sumner and senior Jordan Hardrick (Dayton/Wayne) are ranked fourth at 149 and 165, respectively.
Senior Cash Thompson (Lake Odessa, Mich./Lakewood) is ranked fifth at 197 and freshman Colin Mellot (Wapakoneta) is sixth at 125 points.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday at the Manchester (Ind.) Classic.
