Wrestling to open 2021-22 season Nov. 6 at Mount Union Invitational

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team will open its 2021-22 schedule on Nov. 6 at the Mount Union Invitational under 34th-year head coach Ron Beaschler.

The Polar Bears will open the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule on Nov. 16 when they host Heidelberg in a 7 pm contest at the ONU Sports Center.

The 40th annual ONU Invitational is slated for Dec. 4.

Northern will also host Mount Saint Joseph and Manchester (Ind.) in dual meets on Jan. 4, Otterbein in an OAC dual meet on Jan. 18 and the Mid-States Invitational on Feb. 12.

Ohio Northern will also compete in tournaments at Adrian (Mich.), Olivet (Mich.), Wilkes (Pa.), Lycoming (Pa.), Manchester (Ind.), Alma (Mich.), Wheaton (Ill.) and Baldwin Wallace.

The NCAA Division III Central Regional Championships will be Feb. 27-28 at Adrian, Mich., and the NCAA III Championships will be march 11-12 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Polar Bears went 3-1 and finished second in the OAC in the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season last winter.
