Barcaskey, Transue post wins as Wrestling wraps up regular season with loss to Heidelberg on Senior Night

ADA – The Ohio Northern wrestling team wrapped up its regular season with a 32-6 loss to Heidelberg on Senior Night on Tuesday at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears end at 11-4 overall record and finish third in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 4-2 record, while the Student Princes improve to 11-4, 5-1.
Freshman Nate Barcaskey (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) got a takedown and a 3-point near fall with 30 seconds left in the match to defeat two-time NCAA qualifier Nino Majoy 7-2 from Heidelberg at Heavyweight to highlight the night for Ohio Northern.
Barcaskey finishes OAC dual meet action with a perfect 6-0 record and is 27-7 overall.
Freshman Seth Transue (Plain City/Dublin) got ONU off to a 3-0 lead with a 6-4 overtime victory at 125 pounds.
Transue is 17-15 on the season and finishes 4-2 in OAC action.
The Polar Bears will return to action Feb. 24-25 when they will compete at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Tournament at the Fort Wayne Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.
