Wrestling picked to finish fifth in 2016-17 OAC Coaches' Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team was selected to finish fifth in the 2016-17 Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestling regular season standings in voting conducted by the league's seven head coaches.
The Polar Bears, under 29th-year head coach Ron Beaschler, received 17 points in the voting.
Baldwin Wallace was picked to win the league with 36 points and six first place votes. Mount Union was second with 27 points and the final first place vote and Heidelberg was picked to finish third with 25 points.
The Polar Bears return four starters and nine lettermen from last year's squad that went 11-10 overall and finished fifth in the OAC with a 1-4 league record.
ONU will open the season Nov. 12 at the Mount Union Invitational and will host the 35th annual ONU Invitational on Dec. 3 at the ONU Sports Center.
