Wrestling wraps up 2015-16 season with 13th place finish at NCAA III Midwest Regionals

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team wrapped up its 2015-16 season with a 13th place finish at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional tournament at Knowling Fieldhouse

The Polar Bears (11-10 overall) finished with 8 points.

Senior Kody Bellamy and freshman Clayton Davidson led Ohio Northern by posting 2-2 records at 157 and 285 pounds, respectively.

Davidson won twice by fall and wrapped up his freshman campaign with a 26-15 record and eight pins.

Bellamy won his two victories by decision and is 24-12 on the year.

Junior Kyler Deeter and freshman Gavin Nelson each posted 1-2 records on the day.

The top three placers in each of the 10 weight classes earn bids to the NCAA III Championships March 12-13 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
