Wrestlers open 2015-16 season with fifth place finish at Roger Williams (R.I.) Invitational

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team opened its 2015-16 season with a fifth place finish at the Roger Williams (R.I) Invitaitonal on Saturday.
Senior Kody Bellamy led Northern on the day, finishing third in the 285-pound weight class with a 5-1 record.
Senior Greg Biben, sophomore Dylan Dolph, sophomore Evan Morgan and freshman Gavin Nelson all claimed fourth place finishes in the meet.
Biben finished 3-2 at heavyweight, Dolph went 3-2 at 141, Nelson finished 4-2 at 149 and Morgan finished 5-2 at 157.
Ohio Northern junior Kyler Deeter also placed, finishing sixth in the 165 weight class with a 4-3 record.
ONU finished the tournament with 92.5 points to finish fifth of 11 teams.
Roger Williams won the team title with 180 points, Messiah (Pa.) was second with 162 points, Suny-Cortland (N.Y.) was third with 151 points and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) fourth with 117 points.
Ohio Northern returns to action Dec. 1 with a 7:30 pm dual meet at Manchester (Ind.)
