Junior Michael Pawlitz named OAC Wrestler of the Week for the third time this season

ADA — Junior Michael Pawlitz has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Feb. 4-Feb. 10.

This marks the third time this season and fourth time in his career that he has earned the honor.

Ohio Northern has now received the honor seven times this season.

Pawlitz helped the Polar Bears clinch at least a share of the OAC Regular Season title with a 26-12 victory over Baldwin Wallace Tuesday at the ONU Sports Center.

He posted a first period pin in 2:37 at the 197-pound weight class.

Pawlitz is now 25-5 on the year with 13 pins and is 4-0 in the league.

Northern can win the OAC Regular Season title outright with a victory on Tuesday with a 7:30 pm meet at Heidelberg.
