Wrestling ranked No. 17 in third Brute-NWCA Division III Poll; Kwiat and Pawlitz remain ranked individually

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team is ranked No. 17 in the third weekly Brute-National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll for the 2012-13 season.
The Polar Bears (4-1 overall), under 25th-year head coach Ron Beaschler, are one of only two Ohio Athletic Conference team in the poll, which ranks the top 30 teams in the country.
Northern was ranked No. 13 in the second poll and was No. 10 in the first poll.
Individually, two ONU wrestlers are ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes.
Senior defending national champion and three-time All-American Kyle Kwiat is ranked No. 1 at 174 pounds and junior Michael Pawlitz is ranked No. 7 at 197 pounds.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Friday when Manchester (Ind.) comes to the ONU Sports Center for a 7:30 pm non-conference contest.
