Pasquale's pin lifts No. 13-ranked Wrestling to 27-15 victory at Mount Saint Joseph

CINCINNATI — No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern got an early pin, then won the last four bouts to post a 27-15 dual meet wrestling match at Mount Saint Joseph on Tuesday night.
The Polar Bears improve to 4-1 on the season, while the Lions fall to 0-2.
Junior Jerry Pasquale got ONU off to a quick 6-0 lead with a pin in 2:16 at 125 pounds.
Junior Ryan Fowler then tied the match at 9-9 with a 7-4 decision at 149 pounds.
After two more MSJ decisions, freshman Colt Lovejoy won by forfeit at 174 pounds to tie the match at 15-all.
Senior defending national champion Kyle Kwiat then put Northern ahead to stay with a 16-0 tech fall at 184 pounds, giving the Polar Bears a 20-15 lead.
No. 5-ranked junior Michael Pawlitz put the match away with an 8-0 major decision at 197 pounds.
Sophomore Cody Lovejoy wrapped up the dual with a solid 12-6 victory at heavyweight.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday with a home match against Manchester (Ind.) on Friday at 7:30 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
