Kwiat earns his third OAC Wrestler of the Week honor

ADA — Junior All-American Kyle Kwiat has been named OAC Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 30- Feb. 5, his third such honor of the 2011-12 season.
Kwiat helped lead No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team to a second place finish with 160.5 points at the John Summa Invitational on Saturday at Baldwin-Wallace.
Ranked No. 3 nationally at 174 pounds, Kwiat dominated his weight class with a 4-0 record with four technical falls by scores of 22-4, 17-0, 15-0 and 16-1 in the finals while also claiming Tournament MVP.
He is currently 31-1 on the year with a team-high 12 technical falls.
The Polar Bears will return to action Feb. 14 when they host OAC rival Muskingum at 7:30 p.m. at the ONU Sports Center.
