Wrestling moves up to No. 12 in seventh Brute-Adidas NWCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team moved up 12 spots to No. 12 in the seventh Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll on Tuesday
The Polar Bears (9-4 Overall, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) have won four of their last five matches, all of which have been against nationally-ranked foes.
Wartburg (Iowa) remains in the top spot, Augsburg (Minn.) is second, Wisconsin-LaCrosse is third and Coe (Iowa) is fourth.
Individually, junior Kyle Kwiat is ranked third in the country at 174 pounds. The two-time All-American is undefeated in the weight class at 18-0 so far this season, and is 22-0 overall with seven pins, six tech falls and four major decisions.
Senior Billy Painter is still ranked third at 165. He is 19-5 overall with three tech falls and four major decisions.
Ohio Northern returns to action Tuesday night with a road tilt at Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll in a 7:30 p.m. dual.
