Lovejoy named OAC Grappler of the Week, marking ONU's third straight

ADA — Freshman Cody Lovejoy has been named OAC Wrestler of the Week for the week of December 5-11.

Lovejoy is the third straight Polar Bear to earn player of the week status this season, as Michael Pawlitz and Kyle Kwiat have also earned the award.

He posted his first career pin to help the No. 23 Ohio Northern wrestling team post a 30-13 victory over Manchester (Ind.).

Lovejoy wrestled at the heavyweight position and pinned Jason Pedigo in 2:05 to move to 7-3 on the season.

Ohio Northern will be in action again on Sunday when they travel to North Carolina to face off against Division I foe Davidson at 1 p.m.
