Sophomore Michael Pawlitz named OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Michael Pawlitz (Clinton Township, Mich./Chippewa Valley) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-20.

Pawlitz went 4-0 at the Olivet (Mich.) Duals last week.

He went undefeated at the 197-pound weight class, posting three pins and defeating Whitewater's Justin Birschbach, 6-0.

Pawlitz's pins were against La Crosse's Cody Endres in 1:48, Trine's Maxwell Begovich in an impressive 17 seconds and Olivet's Justin Leonard in 2:03.

The No. 16-ranked Polar Bears (1-3) will return to action  Nov. 29 when they open the home schedule with a 7 pm dual with Mount Saint Joseph at the ONU Sports Center.
