Wrestlers picked to finish second in league in 2011-12 OAC Coaches' Poll
ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team was picked to finish second in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2011-12 in both the Regular Season and Championships polls in voting conducted by the league's six head coaches.
The Polar Bears received 21 points and one first place vote in the Championships poll and recived 20 points and one first place vote in the RTegular Season poll.
The Regular Season poll is based on regular season, dual meet competition and the Championships poll is a prediction of the finish at the 2012 OAC Tournament in February.
Defending league champion Mount Union was picked to finish first in both polls Heidelberg was picked third and John Carroll fourth in the Regular Season poll and the two schools were tied for third in the Championships poll.
The Polar Bears, under 24th-year head coach Ron Beaschler will open its 2011-12 season Nov. 19 at the Olivet (Mich.) Duals tournament.
