Miller selected as Academic All-American First Team by CoSIDA
ADA — Senior wrestler Luke Miller (Indiana, Pa) has been selected Capital One Academic All-America® Men's At-Large First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
This is Miller's second Academic All-America honor from CoSIDA.
Miller was a civil engineering major and the first student-athlete to be honored as the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Year three times.
On the national stage, Miller finished fourth at the NCAA Championships as a sophomore in 2009 and won the title in 2010 at 157-pounds for Ohio Northern. He was also a three-time All-American.
Miller finished his career as a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American and a two-time Academic All-OAC pick.
He compiled a 29-5 record in 2011 for the Polar Bears and finished as the school's all-time victory leader with a 133-29 overall record.
With those 133 wins, Miller tied the ONU all-time record set by 1989 national champion Vinny Cameron ('86-'89).
