Wrestlers get five pins to post 46-4 victory at Manchester (Ind.)

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team won nine out of ten bouts, including five by fall, to earn a 46-4 victory at Manchester (Ind.) Friday night.
With the win the Polar Bears improve to 4-2 overall, while the Spartans drop to 0-1 in their first dual meet of the season.
At 133, Northern's Ken Henault pinned Manchester's Jason Ray at the 5:22 mark.
The victory marked the first of Northern's nine straight wins on the night.
Joe Spooner (141), Mick Letcher (149), Luke Miller (157), and Kyle Kwiat (174) all won their matches by fall to earn the Polar Bears 24 team points.
At 165, Bill Painter was able to shutout Kurt Monix to gain a 6-0 victory.
At 184, Matt Alexander was able to earn a major decision victory over Christ Chasteen, while Nate Jones defeated Daryl Bishop by an injury decision 5:59 into the match.
Justin Southwick rounded out the night with a close 2-1 decision at the 285 weight class over Casey Bushong.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday, December 15, as they open their home dual schedule against visiting Mt. St. Joseph. The dual starts at 7 pm.
