PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. —The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team wrapped up its spring break trip with an 18-3 loss to SUNY-Fredonia on Thursday afternoon at the Publix Sports Park.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-3, while the Blue Devils improve to 5-2.
SUNYF scored the first six goals of the game and did not look back, leading 6-1 after the first quarter and 12-2 at halftime.
Junior Emma Perry (Pickerington/North) had three ground balls and junior Chloe Millican (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) stopped four of the 10 shots she faced in the second half to lead ONU.
Junior Noel Orioli (Westerville/North), freshman Emma Hoersten (Hilliard/Davidson) and sophomore Keaghan Burden (Brunswick) each scored goals for Ohio Northern
Fredonia State was led by Erin Woods with six goals.
The Blue Devils out-shot ONU 30-15, had a 28-22 advantage in ground balls and a 15-10 advantage in draw controls.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday night at Wittenberg.
