ADA — Junior Meredith Miller (Noblesville, Ind.) and sophomore Emma Perry (Pickerington/North) each scored a pair of goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 16-6 loss to John Carroll on a warm and windy Friday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Blue Streaks improve to 6-5, 4-1.
JCU out-scored ONU 8-1 in the second quarter, turnign a tight 3-0 lead into an 11-1 halftime advantage.
The two teams then play even in the second half with each squad scoring five times.
Sophomore Chloe Millican (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) had a career-high 14 saves in goal for ONU.
John Carroll out-shot ONU 42-12 and had a 31-15 edge in ground balls.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday when they travel to OAC foe Heidelberg for a 7 p.m. contest.
