ADA — Freshman Sydney Kilgore (Pleasant Plain/Little Miami) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of April 5-11.
Kilgore had a record-setting week, netting 11 goals in two matches.
Kilgore tied the school record of eight goals set by Maddie Storr in the program's inaugural season against Urbana in 2016 in a 23-9 victory at Heidelberg on Wednesday.
She also set a school record with two man-down goals, scoring them just four minutes apart as ONU led 8-4 midway through the first half.
Kilgore also broke the school's single-season scoring record with 69 points and 20 assists this season.
She is second in the OAC and is fourth nationally with 49 goals this season. She also needs just four more goals to tie Storr's single season goals record of 53.
This marks the second time this season that Kilgore has won the award.
The Polar Bears (5-8 overall, 5-8 OAC) will return to action Wednesday when they host Capital at 7 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
