Women's Lacrosse gets four goals from Maddie Storr, Sydney Skelding in 18-5 victory at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD — Junior Maddie Storr (Clarence, N.Y.) and sophomore Sydney Skelding (North Plainfield, N.VJ./Dublin) each scored four goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team to an 18-5 victory at Muskingum on Saturday afternoon at the North Athletic Turf Field.
The Polar Bears improve to 6-5 overall and are 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies fall to 1-11, 0-4.
Northern scored four goals in a 4:32 span to take an early 5-1 lead, then tallied five straight goals in a 2:46 span to go up 10-2 with 12:19 left in the first half.
Storr and Skelding all had three goal hat tricks in the first half as Ohio Northern led 14-3 at intermission.
Junior Betsy Naugle (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) picked up her hat trick and Skelding pscored her fourth goal of the game in the first 3:24 of the second half and junior Jacqui Lohman (Liberty Township/Lakota East) scored with 19:43 left in the game to make it 17-3.
After two MU goals made it 17-5, Lohman also tallied the final goal of the game with 9:24 to play.
Storr also had a seven ground balls and four caused turnovers in the game.
Freshman Cameron Harbour (O'Fallon, Ill.) had two saves in goal to record her first career victory.
ONU out-shot MU 47-11, won the ground ball battle by a 34-22 margin and was a perfect 13-for-13 on clear attempts.
The Polar Bears will return home on Wednesday night for a 7 pm contest with Baldwin Wallace at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
