Women's Lacrosse picked to finish seventh in OAC coaches preseason poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team has been selected to finish seventh in the Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, voted on by the conference's nine coaches.
The Polar Bears received 23 points in the poll.
Mount Union was picked to finish first in the poll with 64 points and eight first place votes, Baldwin Wallace was picked to finish second with 52 points, and John Carroll was selected to finish third with 49 points and one first place vote.
The Polar Bears return 12 letterwinners and eight starters from last year's squad that finished 3-13 overall and was 2-6 in the OAC.
Northern will open its season on Feb. 22 at Hiram and will open the home portion of its schedule at Dial-Roberson Stadium as it plays host to Trine (Ind.) on Feb. 25 at 5 pm under third-year head coach Beth Hemminger.
