BEXLEY — Freshmen Katie McCourt (Fairview Park/Magnificat) and Jacqui Lohman (Liberty Township/Lakota East) each tallied goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 17-2 loss at Capital on Saturday at Bernlohr Stadium.
The Polar Bears end their season 3-13 overall and 2-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Crusaders will enter next week's OAC Tournament at 11-3, 6-2.
McCourt scored on a free position shot with 2:45 left in the opening half and Lohman tallied a free position goal with 9:18 left in the game to lead the ONU offense.
CU scored the first 11 goals of the game and led 12-1 at intermission. The Crusaders out-shot the Polar Bears 31-6 in the game.
