PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team fell 18-0 to Marymount (Va.) in its final contest of the Spring Fling Tournament in Port Charlotte, Fla. on Thursday afternoon.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-3 overall, while the Saints improve to 3-1.
Junior Shannen Larsen Van Alstine (Neenah, Wis.) led the Polar Bears as she tallied five saves in the goal and picked up a team-best two ground balls and caused one turnover.
Freshmen Rachel Shipman (Noblesville, Ind.) and Elizabeth Carter (Lebanon) each recorded a shot to lead Northern offensively.
MU opened the game with 12 goals in the first half, before sealing the victory with six goals in the second half.
Van Alstine's five saves were a game-high.
The Polar Bears will return home and host Ursuline at Dial-Roberson Stadium on Saturday, Mar. 18 at 3 pm.
